About Dr. Ayhan Dinckan
Prof. Ayhan Dinckan is a highly acclaimed doctor who is reputed for his work on organ transplantation in Turkey. He has been a multi-organ transplant surgeon since 2007 and is credited with many achievements. He was the director of a program at the transplantation center when the first uterus and double fore-arm transplantations in Turkey was performed.Prof. Dinckan has been involved in over 5000 kidney transplantation operation since 2004 with the success rate of 98.3% graft survival and 99.1% patients' survival. He has performed 350 pediatric kidney transplantation operation, one of the biggest number and experience in pediatric surgery in both Turkey and European countries. In the living donor transplantation operation, all the donor kidneys have been removed by Trans-abdominal full laparoscopic method.Dr. Dinckan has been performed more than 750 living (80%) and cadaveric type (%20) livertransplantation surgeries, with the success rate of 91.7% patients' survival.He participated in the first successful pancreas transplantation in Turkey at Akdeniz University in 2004. Since then, Prof. Dinckan has performed 77 pancreas transplantation.In the case of multi-organ transplantation, he has been performed combined 14 liver and kidney transplantation, 2 heart and kidney and 74 pancreas and kidney operation.He has numerous international Publications, including 55 articles and 19 national publications articles.
