About Dr. Ashok Seth
Dr Ashok Seth is one of India's Top Cardiologist and is internationally renowned for his outstanding contribution in the field of interventional cardiology. He is currently the Chairman of Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi and the Head of Cardiology Council of Fortis Group of Hospitals. He has numerous awards and accolades to his credit including national awards like Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, Fellowship from all three Royal College of Physicians, youngest physician to receive Honorary Doctorates from prestigious institutes of India and many more.Dr Ashok is on various international committees for cardiology and has published over 250 papers in reputed national and international journals. He is a pioneer surgeon and has been associated with the team involved in the development of Bioresorbable Scaffold (BRS) Stent and angioplasty techniques like Directional Atherectomy, Angioscopy, Stents, Thrombectomy devices and Drug-Eluting Stents, etc.Dr Seth also holds the recognition for being the first from Asia to be elected on the Board of Governors of Society of Cardiac Angiographies and Intervention (USA), the official professional and regulatory body of interventional cardiologists in the USA.
